18 weeks

So it’s been a very long time since I updated.  Although I’m going to aim for updating more often because I am finding that reading the archives from Xander’s pregnancy is really helping me along with this one.  So for the pregnancy updates.

  • We had our mid pregnancy ultrasound, and it’s another boy!
  • Weight gain total is 9lbs at 18 weeks, this is depressing I was hoping to be in my third trimester before reaching a 9lb gain
  • Everything else is great

So the weight gain.  HUH, we went on a week long vacation to Cabo and I only gained 1.5lbs while we where away which wasn’t bad at all right along where I was expecting.  But since we have been back the scale keeps going up and up and I’m really not eating that much food and for the most part nothing bad.  I am not exercising like I should but I have been cleaning the house way more because we put it on the market and playing with Xander like non stop.  I have been keeping a food journal for the most part.  I just want the gain to stop for a little while its like I’m gaining a pound a day.

When I got back on May 23rd I was 172.4 this morning I was 176 I can’t believe it that is a gain of 4lbs in like two weeks.  This is the problem I had when I was pregnant with Xander and I just can not bring myself to gain 60lbs again that is just too much weight to gain.

Any suggestions would be great!

I can’t believe you’re 18 weeks already! Congrats on another little boy. :) I think you’re doing great! I did really great in my last pregnancy, except for an unexplained jump during just a few short weeks around 20ish weeks. Just hang in there, and keep doing what you’re doing!

Aw, hugs, mama! I know it’s easier said than done (especially since you’ve done this before) but try not to obsess too much over it! I think you’re doing great. As long as you’re eating healthy, not being TOO sedentary, and not dieting, you and you babe should be healthy and you’ll gain what you’re “supposed” to.

As someone who struggles with her weight, though (and is preggo!) I totally empathize and hope you are able to meet your pregnancy weight gain goal.
