Busy Busy

09.27.07

So I am almost positive I just landed a job. Working get this from HOME!!!
Just for your visual entertainment imagine me doing my happy office dance right now. It pays as much as I was making before and it’s a great company. I just have to not screw it up.

Once upon a time that would have been easy for me however it seems in my old age, I have to degree of responsibility and ability to not be a F*ck Up. But we will see how it goes, I will not mess this up. I am going to strive in the future to be more of my old self the ultra responsible one, maybe not go so overboard about it but resemble more of adulthood that I currently do. Closer to about age 20 for me.

On the diet frontier, things have been going well. I have set up the treadmill just feet away from my desk and I figure I could steal away at least half hour a day and jog/walk on it throughout the day. I have decided to drop my caloric consumption down to 1200 a day, and I will eat back half of the calories I burn during exercise. I haven’t smoked or had any alcoholic beverages since September 15th. Very cool, isn’t it just think of how many calories that saves.

So I don’t normally post on the weekend but I wanted to mention that I am doing really well this weekend with not going over my calories this weekend.

So I was just googleing some serious weight loss stuff, like the amount of calories in chicken and I found one of the most awesome site I have ever found.

http://caloriecount.about.com/

You can do everything on this site as any of those other diet websites but it doesn’t cost anything to join. You have access to member forums, food journals, exercise logs, weight loss advice, and nutritional advice.

It’s so exciting!

If you join become my friend. http://caloriecount.about.com/profile/hotharmony

Let’s hope I keep this up

I’m going to the gym today

09.19.07

I know I didn’t win the battle with the scale last week. But according to a Q&A with my Shape magazine it can take up to six weeks to start seeing results on the scale. However I do feel better and now I have started recording my food intake.

I had a second interview today with entertainment.com the job sounds really awesome and exciting. I hope I receive an offer from them it would make my life really start to look up about now. If that happens though I might have to re examine whether I will be buying a whole year membership to Taylor Rec, I might find a gym closer to work that I could go at lunch instead of after dinner.

Today is the first day I have recorded the calories for what I have been eating and it’s the 4th day I have not smoked. YAY for me!

I hate the scale

09.14.07

Yesterday I went to the gym and I did 45 minutes of cardio and it felt great I could really stay on top of it. Then I did some upper body weights it was nice and I’m sore today.

This morning I jumped on the scale thinking yay I have been pretty good all week and I have been in the gym a bunch. But the scale didn’t want to agree with me. It read 163.3

This is totally messed up! Does anyone know why this happens. I am going to have to go back to recording what I eat every day. I know, I hate it but it must be done. Oh and no more alcohol it’s not good for me anyway and it’s just extra calories.

Thursday updates

09.13.07

I am now officially unemployed. I do have some money coming in from side jobs but nothing even close to what I was making before. However this has given me some time to discover the joys of working from home. I like being home. I have made it to the gym every day this week and I am really excited about being my own boss. I get to spend quality time with my dogs and get up when I want to. It’s nice.

However I received a call from a company called entertainment.com and they are looking for someone to be an assistant online marketer. This would be great it right up my alley but, it will surely take away all of this new found freedom I have come to love in the last few weeks. Their office is located 45-75 minutes from my house depending on the day and traffic. The hours are 9am to 5:30pm which would put a damper on my mid day gym going, at the local rec center. If I wanted to continue my rabbit I would have to go on my lunch break and join a real gym, YUK. Although I would really like to be offered this position and make good money again with a 401k and health insurance the whole nine yards, a small part of me cries about it.
