30 Day Challenge, Day 19

Friday, March 21st, 2008

So this week either I didn’t do very well or I am retaining a bunch of water. I happen to believe a little of both. I am feeling a little bloated my tongue is swollen a bit and my mouth taste salty but I am up two pounds. I am going to drink lots of water today and see where I am at tomorrow. This all might be hormonal but I wouldn’t be able to tell because my temperature has not changed much although my breast are tender and I have been snippy with D lately.

If this doesn’t work I’m going to try the Robot Diet, they say it’s friendly.

30 Day Challenge, Day 18

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

The 30 day challenge is going good this week, I would say not great but good.  I ran for 50 minutes yesterday and I seriously was sweating my ass off!  It was great I went for 15 minutes straight without a break at all which is good for me. My normal running routine is 5 minute warm up at 2.5 mph, then 10 minutes at 5 mph, then 5 minutes at 3.5 mph repeat for an hour.  Oh my treadmill that says I go about 4.2 miles, I don’t know if I really believe that considering everytime I run outside I can do 5 miles in one hour.  Tonight I am going to try a fitball class.

I don’t feel as good about the upcoming weigh in tomorrow, I have been a little high on the calorie count Tuesday was 1,900 but yesterday was only 1,500.  I didn’t work out on Monday or Tuesday so it’s been an up and down battle for me this week.  I am just not feeling it this week.  I have not been very sexually active, I’ve been a little down about it because I haven’t ovulated in the last three months so we will see how all of this plays out.

I am just feeling a little blah blah.  I need a little kick in the butt.

30 Day Challenge, Day 16

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

I am more than half way and have had two days that were not on track.  This has been a good 16 days so far for me.  I started the challenge on March 3rd at 158 and as of last Friday weighed 155.4 so that is a total loss of 2.6 lbs!  I am having a good time and feel like I have some control over my eating and that my weight loss and fitness are in the fore front of my mind.

Yesterday I had a total calorie count of 1,384, with no workout.

I think this is a great accomplishment for me not only because I stayed right at my goal but I also went to the bar without partaking in alcoholic beverages.

I lost weight!

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

So D and I weigh in on Friday mornings, this week I have been kickin butt (besides the one really bad day) and I got on the scale and it read 155.2! This means I am down a pound from last week! WOOT!

Celebrate with me by leaving a comment and let me know how much you lost this weekend.

30 Day Challenge, Going Great!

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

This week my 30 day challenge is going great so far!

  • Monday I ended up with 1,490 Calories eaten, and burned 292 at Pilates
  • Tuesday I ended up eating 1,500 Calories
  • Wensday I ended up eating 1,710 Calories, and burned doing 378 bootcamp
  • Thursday I ended today eating 1,700 Calories, and burned 372 running outside

My legs are killing me after two days in a row of serious lower body work out, I think tomorrow I will pick up the 10lbs weights and do some serious upper body workout.  Sunday I have a scheduled run with my mom, 5 Miles in a local metro park.

D and I’s anniversary was on Wensday and we will be celebrating with some seriously expensive food and fun times on Saturday.  It’s going to be a good time so I’m going to choose something very special on the menu and eat it slowly and enjoy it.  On Sunday will be the 5 mile run but also Chinese buffet which is not as bad as it sounds ( I really don’t like Chinese food) however our Chinese buffet has all you can eat sushi!

30 Day Challenge, Getting It Back

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

So Friday I totally had a big eat day. I was really discouraged blowing the whole 30 days being in control of my eating out the window. But when I got up on Saturday morning I decided that now more than ever I need to rebound well. I mean the Pistons would like to just go out and win every game they play but when they lose they still go out and play the next game. I need to have that attitude.

So Saturday morning by the time I woke up I had a million excused including:

  • I had a headache (couldn’t have been the drinks on Friday night)
  • The Snow was starting
  • It was cold outside
  • It was Saturday

But I got up cleaned the house and got dressed to go to the gym, normally I work out at home on the treadmill. I worked out on the Elliptical machine for 30 minutes (354 calories) and then went to my favorite middle eastern restaurant and ordered a sandwich and big salad for D and I to have for dinner. I ended the day at 1600 which was good.

Sunday I got up and totally forgot about daylight savings for about an hour until my mom called and asked me where I was. We were going to meet at a metro park by her house and do our first 5 mile run. Well I said I would finish breakfast and be on my way, but we decided to run on an indoor track instead. I have been increasing the time that I spend running on my treadmill but I have never run outside or not on the treadmill, so I had no idea how it would be. It was great! I ran 5 miles in just under 60 minutes and then walked the track for the next 15 while my mom finished up. Now I am getting more and more excited about the upcoming trail run.

30 Day Challenge, Failure.

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

Yesterday I failed the challenge.  I was at a total of 2,014 calories for the day.

30 Day Challenge, Day 5

Friday, March 7th, 2008

The 30 day challenge is going great to far we are on day 5 and I have stayed with it every day. Yesterday I jogged for one hour and burned about 400 calories, I consumed a total of 1600. So it was right in line.

I weighed in this morning to find out that I have lost the weight I gained in Las Vegas.

This week I weigh 156.2!

Now is when the 30 day challenge get’s really challenging . . . the weekend. We all have a tendacy to go over our calories on the weekends with going out to eat and bars and all that crazyness. Here is my weekend plan.

1. Eat at home whenever possible (this means breakfast, lunch and dinner on Friday and Sunday)

2. Go to the Taylor Recreation Center on Saturday and do some other cardio, if D feels better maybe a game of Raquetball

3. Sunday is the first run with mom, we are meeting at Kensington for a five mile run.

30 Day Challenge, Day 3!

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

I totally nailed it yesterday even with going out to eat. Once again the Applebee’s Weight Watcher’s menu pulled through for me.

1,379 calorie total for yesterday.
